Free Certificate of Stanford on Evaluation for How To Have A Patient-Centered Discussion About COVID Vaccines

Topic Overview:-
COVID vaccines are promising, but vaccine hesitancy challenges healthcare providers. The percentage of vaccinated Americans has grown, while the percentage of those who have been undecided has fallen. However, the number of people who oppose vaccination has remained steady. Because healthcare providers encounter all sorts of vaccine mindsets, they need knowledge and skills to personalize their approach for discussing a sensitive issue.

This course was adapted from the California Coronavirus Testing Task Force, Human Centered Recommendations for Increasing Vaccine Uptake. Published June 8, 2021. Stanford CME is extremely grateful to Kaiser Permanente for permission to create this adaptation.

CME Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Stanford Medicine designates this Enduring Material for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Free Certificate of Haploidentical Stem Cell Transplantation: You've Always Got a Donor,. Why Not Always Use It ?

Overview of the CME
This presentation is a recording of a Stanford Pediatric Grand Rounds Session. World-renowned experts will present the latest research, practice guidelines, and treatment protocols to advance best practices in the care of pediatric patients. These online recordings will provide pediatricians and family physicians with up-to-date clinical information on a wide range of clinical issues encountered in daily pediatric practice.

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the only curative treatment for many disorders, including malignant and non-malignant disorders. However, a fully matched related donor is available only for 25% of patients, and, despite over 31 million of volunteer donors, about 50% patients cannot find a suitable donor in a reasonable frame-time. Therefore, strategies to optimize the use of mismatched donors are urgently needed. The use of donors HLA-partially matched (haploidentical) is becoming widely used and in 2021 we can say that, thanks to new graft manipulation strategies we have a donor for everyone.

Objectives :-
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Evaluate emerging research, updated guidelines, and treatment protocols in order to develop strategies for best practice in the care of pediatric patients.

Describe how the use of abhaplo-HSCT enables functional immune tolerance towards solid organ transplantation.

Implement strategies to optimize the use of mismatched donors
